MyLLMChat ("the App") is an on-device AI chat application. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information Stored Locally on Your Device
- Conversations: All chat history, messages, and AI-generated responses are processed and stored locally on your device.
- AI Models: Downloaded language models are stored in your device's local storage.
- App Settings: Your preferences (appearance, font size, model configuration, etc.) are stored using the device's local storage.
- Device Identifier: A randomly generated UUID is stored in your device's Keychain to identify your device for device management purposes. This identifier is not linked to your personal identity.
- Biometric Data: If you enable biometric lock, authentication is handled entirely by the operating system's biometric framework (Face ID / Touch ID). The App does not access, store, or transmit any biometric data.
- Camera and Photo Library: With your permission, the App can access your camera to take photos or your photo library to select images for use in AI conversations. Photos are processed locally or sent to the AI API endpoint you configured. The App does not upload your photos to any server we operate.
- Files: With your permission, the App can access files you select for use in conversations (e.g., PDF, text documents). These files are processed locally on your device.
1.2 Information Synced via iCloud
If you enable iCloud Sync, the following data is synced through Apple's iCloud service under your Apple ID:
- App Settings: Your preferences are synced across your devices using iCloud Key-Value Storage.
- Device Registration Records: Device name, model, and registration timestamp are stored in your iCloud Private Database for device management.
- Exported Conversations: If you choose to export conversations to iCloud Drive, the exported files are stored in your personal iCloud Drive.
The App uses Apple's CloudKit Private Database, which means your data is encrypted and only accessible under your Apple ID. We have no access to this data.
1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect personal information (name, email, phone number, etc.)
- We do not require account registration
- We do not use third-party analytics or tracking services
- We do not collect usage statistics
- We do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA)
- We do not transmit conversation content to any external server
3. In-App Purchases
- The App offers a free 7-day trial and a one-time Lifetime Premium purchase
- All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store
- We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information (credit card numbers, billing address, etc.)
- Purchase verification is performed locally on your device using Apple's StoreKit framework
- Purchase history is tied to your Apple ID and managed by Apple
3. LAN API Server
The App includes an optional LAN API Server feature that allows other devices on your local network to access AI inference capabilities.
- This feature operates exclusively within your local network
- Network communication does not leave your local network
- The server requires an API key for authentication
- No data is transmitted to the internet through this feature
4. Remote API Configuration
The App allows you to configure third-party AI API endpoints (such as OpenAI-compatible APIs). If you use this feature:
- API keys you enter are stored locally in your device's Keychain
- Conversation content is sent to the third-party API endpoint you configured
- We are not responsible for the data practices of third-party API providers. Please review their respective privacy policies.
5. Data Security
- Local data is protected by your device's built-in security (passcode, biometric authentication)
- Keychain data uses iOS/macOS Keychain encryption
- iCloud data is encrypted by Apple's iCloud security
- The App supports optional biometric lock for additional protection
6. Data Retention and Deletion
- All local data can be deleted at any time through the App's Settings
- Clearing chat history removes all conversations from your device
- "Clear All Data" removes all App data including settings and cached models
- Removing a device from Device Management deletes its registration record from iCloud
- Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data
- iCloud data can be managed through your device's iCloud settings
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
